Copeswood 10 - Coventry Welsh 46 (including 2XV report)
Coventry Welsh had to work hard to break down a resilient Copeswood team who fought til the last even though well beaten. From the start the Welsh put the home side under pressure and after 10 mins it was Luke Horan who jinked through the defence to open the scoring with a try in the corner. With the Welsh in full flow it didn`t take long to extend their lead as Brett Horan and Chris Holman raced in for touchdowns both converted by Luke Horan. An injury to Scott Middlemas meant a change in the front row and as the Welsh adjusted to the change Copeswood took advantage to post their own try after some pick and drives finally breached the Welsh defence. The second half began with the Welsh on the back foot and once again Copeswood rumbled over for a try. This spurred the Welsh and they began to use quick ball from stand in scrum half Ryan Hughes to feed their pacey backs. Chris Holman crossed for his second then, a mis move came off perfectly for Brett Horan to crash through several tackles and score his second. Russ Brown Jnr, on his 18th birthday, finished the scoring with a mazy run from one side of the pitch to score a try in the opposite corner. Luke Horan converted all 3 second half tries to add to 2 penalties as the Welsh eased off in the final minutes on their way to a well earned victory.

Coventry Welsh 3 - Broadstreet 3XV 59

Once again the impressive Street hit 50 points, running in 9 tries. Street remain on course for the league title and need only 4 more tries to go past 150 for the season. The tries came from the outstanding 2nd row Sean Kenny with a brace, centre Pierre "Jeff" Martinaud also hit a brace, with John Warne, James Taberer, Ethan Griffiths, Dan Chaplow and Danny Rowstron all crossing the chalk for singles. Rowstron sent 7 conversions through the sticks. Man of the Match went to the impressive centre Dan Chaplow with a powerful display.
